Radiofrequency (RF)

Radiofrequency (RF) is a non-invasive treatment that uses radiofrequency energy to stimulate collagen production, rejuvenate the meibomian glands in the eyelids and tighten the skin. The radiofrequency heats the deeper layers of the skin to gently improve the oil secretions in the meibomian glands to improve tear film quality but also stimulates fibroblast cells that produce collagen and elastin. The overall affect improves dry eyes and increases skin elasticity and firmness.

All patients should undergo a series treatment, typically four treatments to start. Treatments are normally spaced two to three weeks apart in the beginning, then repeated as needed for maintenance.
